The legendary city bus Chavdar 11G5 became part of the fleet of the “Public transport and infrastructure” Association in 2021. The bus was manufactured in 1980 and has passed an overhaul in Kenta Omurtag in 1997. The distinctive feature of our bus is the outward opening doors. The bus has not been in use for the last 15 years or so and this was evident when we found it in some bushes in Sukhindol. Luckily for us they used good sheet metal in the refurbishment and there is only surface rust. The chassis is also in perfect condition. The ceiling is very good except for a hole above the tail doors. Some windows are missing, but we have parts to replace them. The interior of the bus is a subject to a complete restoration.
